I would suggest also getting a Neo-Flex stand with it. Even after 2 months I still get that little wow tingle every time I turn it on. Wouldn't the 226CW which is a wide gamut suit your usage better?Ībout 2 months ago I replaced my 19" CRT with a 226bw and have no regrets. MrScary, why are you using aRGB 1998 on this screen? The 226BW is a sRGB screen and can only display 72% of aRGB gamut. If you wish, I can give you a little list of why TN's are unsuitable for photography where accuracy matter. If you NEED accuracy, then I'd stay away from the TN panels and rather see if I could get a good used one. If you wonder if its a TN, then just look for this where they state viewing angles.Īnd there are no non-TN panels within your budget. 170 depends on the polarizer in the panel, and its listed as contrast less then 5, not as 10 which is used on VA's and IPS based panels. It also looks great and retails just under £200. Would that imply that it is not a TN panel but I did comeĪcross the new Samsung Pebble 2032BW which presents the sameĬharacteritics as the 206BW but with a wider viewing angle (170deg I definitely haven't got more than £200-£250 to invest.
